Bedtime Shema iOS App IconRoughly seven weeks ago, our mother (the mother of Ronnie & Barry Schwartz) suddenly passed away while visiting Israel for her grandchild's Bar Mitzvah.

Her life was devoted to her children, grandchildren and her whole family. We wanted to do something to honor her life. So we created an app and started an afternoon services (mincha) in our office during the week at 1:30.

The app is named Bedtime Shema and works on iOS; iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad. It is a fun and interactive learning aid designed to help Jewish children say the bedtime Shema (a Jewish blessing you say before going to sleep). The app is now available for free in iTunes and the App Store.

The app takes the child through the typical bedtime routine and ends with the child saying Shema in bed with the app. Boy or Girl, there are settings for both! You can flush the toilet, brush your teeth, shut the lights, cover your eyes, and then say the Shema.

This app was dedicated in memory of our mother, Esther Bat Yaakov.

Features:

  • Learn The Bedtime Shema
  • Sing Along With Other Children
  • Interact With The Bedtime Routine
  • Kids/Full Krias Shema Text
  • Boy & Girl Modes
  • iOS Universal App : iPhone, iPad & iPod Touch
  • Free - Dedicated For Our Mother
