24 Hour Approval App Approval Time

iTunes Connect MobileFor the first time in our two years of submitting apps to Apple, Apple has approved two of our Apps in just about 24 hours from us submitting them. Typically, Apple takes about 5 to 7 days for Apple to approve or reject an app. We submitted two apps on Friday afternoon and by Saturday night, both were approved!

On Friday, we discovered a bug with the iPhone Siddur due to Yahoo Maps dividing Jerusalem. So we submitted a new version that day, and also added iOS4 support.

We also submitted the fix for our very popular Shabbat Shalom App, but that one didn't add iOS4 support and it was also approved in about 24 hours.

To be exact, the Siddur was submitted at 12:57pm (EST) on Friday. It was then approved at 9:20pm on Saturday, according to my email timestamps. So technically, it was not 24 hours, it was 32 hours and and 23 minutes or 1.349 days, but it was the quickest turn around I have ever experienced with Apple approving apps in my 2 years of submitting apps.

Did you ever have an app approved faster than 32 hours?

Good afternoon Barry and friends. I have an iPod Touch. I have downloaded shabbat and Jewish guide ( which is to basic for me.) AnywayI love the Shabbat. Do you have in the works Jewish calendar that I can combine with my regular calendar? I see you have a Siddur for the iPhone, will that work with my iPod Touch? Love what you do. AJR
