Finally, Craigslist Searches Include Nearby Areas

Finally! I'm not sure when this feature was added, but I just noticed it recently. When doing a search within a region on the primitive-yet-popular classifieds super-site Craigslist.org, if there aren't many results in the region it will include results from "nearby" areas.

I'm not quite sure yet what they consider to be nearby or how it is calculated, but as shown in this example, a Manhattan result was included below some North Jersey results.

Now, if only they allowed users to search across multiple regions, or even better: search by zip code radius, we might actually enter the 21st century.
