Get 'Em Large
On Friday, I gave a little app update where I used JUMBO sized iPhone app icons. When I posted them, some people asked me how did I get such large app icons. So I figured I'd write a post on how to do so.
Here is an example of a huge app icon, this is 512 by 512 pixels.
How did I get this? It takes a 4 simple steps:
(1) Open iTunes and click on the "Apps" section on the left hand side:
(2) Right click on the app and select "Get info":
(3) In the new window, click on the "Artwork" tab at the top right:
(4) Click and drag the image off the window and onto your desktop:
Pretty simple! The only catch, you need to own the app.

Yitz, Duh, yea - do you think I am dumb or something? But if you DID NOT BUILD the app, this is a very easy way to get the app icon. This is for most of the bloggers out there that do app reviews but did not build the app.

Uhh.. if you own the app, aren't there easier ways to generate a 512x512 icon ?.. like uhh design it?

That's just what I was looking for, awesome - thanks. One question - hopefully not stupid...Is there a way to "super size" the stock app icons (Phone, Mail, Safari, Messages, etc)? Thanks for sharing
