36% Faster Internet In New Office
We are moving and this Monday, we will be in our new space. Yesterday, the Cable company came to install our Internet and SIP based phone lines. So last night, we wanted to make sure to test to make sure the network jacks and various devices were up and running in proper order.
I tested the speeds of the internet and they were blazing fast. We are getting 75Mb per second down and a little over 8 Mb per second up. It is the same class of service we have in our existing office, Optimum Boost Plus. But in our office we only get 55Mb/second down, which is great but not 75Mb.
We did try Optimum Ultra which promises 100Mb/second down and 15Mb/second up but we never got that. With Ultra in our existing office, we reached 55Mb/second down and a nice 20Mb/second up but the 55Mb was annoying. It should have been 100Mb and Optimum did everything but never was able to get above 55. So they credited us and put us back at Boost Plus. So to have 75 down in the new office and paying only Boost Plus, that is really nice.
I am curious how fast Ultra would be there and yes, I would love Verizon FiOS Quantum, which offers 300Mb/second down and 65Mb/second up but FiOS is not yet available in that building. Hopefully one day.

The internet speed is not depend on any other software its means internet speed is depend on service provider or the plan and the speed is provided internet service provided.

While this subject can be very touchy for most people,real estates lawyer my opinion is that there has to be a middle or common ground that we all can find. I do appreciate that youve added relevant and intelligent commentary here though. Thank you!

Oh Man, nice speeds Barry. We are only getting speeds a fraction of that here in Australia. The government here is working on a National Broadband Network which should see speeds close to what you have mentioned, I hope.
