2.5 Million RustyBrick iPhone App Downloads

Today, Apple announced that over 3 billion apps were downloaded by iPhone and iPod Touch users. Wow, that is a lot of apps.

I decided to do some tallying of the number of downloads for iPhone apps RustyBrick has built and we have surpassed 2.5 million app downloads. This is inclusion of both RustyBrick iPhone apps, apps we built under the IntuApps brand and apps we built for our clients.

So that is 2.5 million RustyBrick built iPhone apps downloaded in less than 18 months. That is pretty huge! I also enjoy watching to see how many people are using our apps at the same time. Some of our paid apps, can spike to over 350 users using the app at exactly the same time - specifically our iPhone Siddur.

Many of our apps are localized to Hebrew now and can be used all over the world. We have built apps in pretty much all generes now and have grown our app development business tremendously over the past 18 months.

Overall, our favorite part of building apps is the community behind the apps. Thanks for all the support, ideas, encouragement and feedback (both negative and positive).
