RustyBrick is proud to announce an iPhone app designed for a wonderful organization named Pioneers for a Cure. The app is designed to help them raise money for cancer, through songs.
The application plays "Am Yisrael Chai," the most popular Hebrew song, featuring over 40 artists. "Am Yisrael Chai" is mixed by legendary engineer Bob Clearmountain, who is noted for mixing "Born in the USA" for Bruce Springsteen, "Start Me Up" for the Rolling Stones, and "Let's Dance" for David Bowie, among so many other top artists and songs which have shaped the musical landscape for years.
The real story is that each artist featured here has also recorded their own song to fight cancer. Each artist has chosen a cancer organization to receive the proceeds from their track. Press any of the artist photos on the mosaic artist screen to go to that artist's page. You can hear a preview, read their bio, see who played on their track, and "Tell a friend."
Links are included to the Pioneers For A Cure podcast "The Making of the Music," produced by NPR veteran reporter Jon Kalish for Joodayoh, inc. Our YouTube channel is accessed through a link to the video for "Am Yisrael Chai."
Hebrew support is provided through a dedicated page.
The Donate function allows you to become a pioneer in micro-philanthropy by supporting our efforts.
