Going To The Movies, Yea, It's Work

Yesterday, I tweeted that I want to see Avatar, but my wife has no interest in seeing it. I asked if there was a way I can go see it? I received a bunch of replies, including one from Mike Blumenthal and one from Andy Beal, long time colleagues of mine in the SEO industry, that I can use a work related excuse to see it. They said:

Yea, work related excuse for seeing a movie. Really?

So two RBers took notice and asked for a RB field trip. The thing is, we have crazy deadlines before the New Year, so we couldn't go. But they then suggested we go on New Years day - yea, many of us come in on New Years day to work. I said sure.

I booked a handful of tickets at the local IMAX theatre, yea, we got an IMAX here. Two RBers are staying in the office, while some are not coming in at all and the rest of us, including myself, is going to the movies!

Honestly, I think it has been 2 years since I last went to see a movie in a theatre, maybe longer. So I am looking forward to it. And, hey, it is New Years Day - I can use some time off? Nah - I'll be in the office way early to get the things I need to get done that day, before the movie.
