iPhone Ad Hoc DistributionAd Hoc Distribution lets you beta test your application with colleagues, potential customers, and helpful friends before you submit it to Apple for their review. We give you a way to test your app to make sure it doesn't harbor unexpected behavior issues, UI problems and bugs we may have missed during the development process. Ad Hoc Distribution lets you provide your application to up to a 100 test users for their feedback and crash reports so you can find problems and fix them before you release it to the world.

How Do I Install an Ad Hoc on my iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad?

First, we need your iPhone ID to send you an Ad Hoc. If you have not done this yet, here are instructions on how to send us your iPhone ID.

Once you secure the .zip and .mobileprovision files from us, to install the files, please follow the steps below.

  1. Drag and drop the provisioning file onto the "Apps" menu on your desktop iTunes application. The provisioning file ends in "mobileprovision."
  2. Click on your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad in the Devices section of iTunes. Then click on the "Summary" tab and then click "Sync" on the bottom right of that screen.
  3. After the sync is complete, verify the provisioning file was installed by going to your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad and clicking on the gray "Settings" icon. Then click on "General" and then on "Profile." You should see the provisioning file in there, if it was installed.
  4. Unzip the compressed application file that was emailed to you and drag and drop the uncompressed file onto the "Apps" menu on your desktop iTunes application.
  5. Click on your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad in the Devices section of iTunes. Then click on the "Summary" tab and then click "Sync" on the bottom right of that screen.

The Ad Hoc beta iPhone application should now be installed on your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad for testing.
