Google Maps Address Bug?

Published March 7, 2006
My mailing address is the city of Spring Valley, but I am physically located in the village of New Hempstead NY. I was looking at google maps trying to get map of my area. When I entered my address in as XX YYY St Spring Valley, NY google gave me five options the were not my address. I finally typed in my address as XX YYY 10977 using the zip code and it came up. I then tried typing in XX YYY St New Hempstead, NY it also came up. The surprise is that when i did figure out a way to bring up my address it came up as XX YYY St Spring Valley, NY. Weird.

Google syndicates their maps data from other providers, so I doubt it is a bug with specifically Google, but rather the data provider. :)
