A Geeks Mezuzah

Published October 15, 2010

RAM MezuzahNow that we have grown and I moved into my new office it was time to put up a Mezuzah on the new doorway.

"A mezuzah is affixed to the doorframe in Jewish homes to fulfill the mitzvah (Biblical commandment) to inscribe the words of the Shema ” (Wikipedia). We had to purchase the new parchment, which Barry took care of. But when it came to the case we knew we had to do something more creative than what Barry would have come up with. So we turned to our tech guys and hence the new RAM Mezuzah (each one bosts 256MB).

Once we had the idea there was no stopping us. We turned to Civia Schwartz, Ronnie's wife of the Tile Gal fame to implement it. There were extra memory sticks laying around from an old Dell development server. We sent them home with Ronnie who returned today with these really neat Mezuzahs.

These may be the first ever Mezuzahs with their own computer memory. Should we add the Intel inside sticker?

Want One?: There is some interest in people buying these for their homes or offices. If you want one made for you, please contact Ronnie's wife at thetilegal.com.
