In the past 8 hours, I have received over 50 connection requests from people on LinkedIn. On average, I probably get 5 requests from people to connect on LinkedIn per day. Something happened overnight where I have received 50 new connection requests in the past 8 hours.
I am well connected on LinkedIn with over 8,500 LinkedIn connections. I can also say that only one out of those 50 requests were spammy. The rest actually looked legit.
So either LinkedIn updated their connections recommendation algorithm and I am coming up more or maybe someone wrote an article and linked to my LinkedIn profile? I think I would have found that article by now, so I am thinking it is more related to a LinkedIn connections recommendation algorithm update.
Is anyone else noticing changes to the frequency of LinkedIn connection requests in the past 12 hours or so?
LinkedIn may call this people you may know.
It is just a very unusual spike but I actually have turned off LinkedIn app notifications months and months ago, which is good for my app icon OCD issues.
