Our First Office Fire

We just had our first real fire in our office.  There was a smell of something burning but we couldn't initially figure out where it was coming from.

So we turned off the air conditioning but that didn't solve the issue.  The smell kept on getting worse.  Then we saw smoke coming from one of the light fixtures. We immediately turned off all the lights, as you can see in the video below.

We called the maintenance guy, who came with a ladder to disconnect the ballast so we can turn the lights back on.

Of course, us being a development shop - most of us just sat there and kept on working.  Which reminded us of this video and not this video.

The smell was not so great, in fact, we have set up a number of fans and opened our two exit doors to try to air out the office.
